Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician

Job Summary: Set up, troubleshoot, install and repair equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment plant wide utilizing procedures and schedules. Examines machines for defects in operation, replaces defective components, makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation and moves heavy machine parts with the aid of hoists, pallet jacks, forklifts or rollers.

Competencies:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Education/Experience: High School Diploma preferred. Approximately 3 + years of related experience. Electrical A/C and D/C experience is preferred.
Certificates and Licenses: Maintenance-related certifications desirable (e.g. welding, fabrication, electrical, refrigeration, hazardous materials).
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Certain areas of the facility will be wet and have stairs. The temperature of the work environment is cold (about 45 degrees Fahrenheit). Ability to work around meat products with mold.
