Reports To: Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance

Shift: Days (may vary as needed)

Job Summary: QA Clerk plays an important role in ensuring accurate information flow within the department. This position will assist Director of FSQA with employee scheduling, training, ordering supplies and entering data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist in reviewing employee timecards
  • Employee scheduling
  • Employee training
  • Inventory and order supplies
  • Sample scheduling and collection
  • Document review and formulation
  • HACCP Training
  • Filing and data entry
  • Assist with third party audit prep
  • Monthly/weekly audit compliance
  • Assist Director with corrective action/Root cause analysis (Director will review and sign off CA’s and RCA’s)
  • Identify and recommend improvements to processes to increase department efficiency and/or improve service to the operation
  • Assist in implementing new monitoring programs and documentation
  • Sorts and routes incoming mail
  • Answers and screens telephone calls; Takes detailed messages
  • Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes
  • Other duties may be assigned to this position

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook processing software and HRIS/ADI Time cards systems. Microsoft PowerPoint and Access experience is desirable
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle
  • Strong commitment to safety, honesty and integrity

Education/Experience: High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Approximately one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. May require typing of 55 wpm, word processing and computer knowledge.

Certificates and Licenses:No certifications needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The temperature of the work environment is cold (about 45 degrees Fahrenheit). Ability to work around meat products with mold. Exposure to outside elements. Ability to work around meat products with mold.
